krakow!!

wowzers...we're almost done in europe, but at least we have an awesome country to end it off in. poland is absolutely beautiful! we're in krakow right now for the lutheran church of europe's missions conference, and the city is amazing. yesterday we went on a tour of the city, and saw lots of castles, dragons :), cathedrals, and the largest market square in europe. today's also a national holiday, so there are tons of people walking the streets, buying trinkets from vendors, listening to music, and having a great time. i don't know what it is about this city that makes it so special, but i love it here (it could be the crazy polish language; so many consonants!!) the countryside is gorgeous too; meghan and i went for a walk one night (trepassing through farms), but we couldn't help but be amazed by the rolling green hills covered in wildflowers. if only we had more time here!...the funny thing is that i wasn't really looking forward to poland; many of the people we met along the way didn't have too many nice things to say about it, but i was pleasantly surprised. i think God likes to do that a lot in my life, surprising me with how prejudiced i am...
only a few more days until our team's vacation; i'm off to budapest with Cristina, to check out another beautiful city. i'm glad that vacation's coming soon; i think we all really need some time to rest, before we get back to the states, and have a ton of work to do. we're all looking forward to our summer tour, but lots of things have to change in our program before we'll be ready for it. we fly back home on may 15th, so if you think of it, pray for our safe travel. perhaps one more post til then, and i'll see you in the states!
