watch out for bears...
we pulled into torgau on thursday afternoon, and will be here for a week. we had visited torgau when we stayed in riesa (it's only 30 km away); torgau's not a very big town, but so far i've had a good time. today we had two church services to lead, the first one in a castle! the castle is so cool because they have a moat with bears in it; last time we were here we took some extra food out of the van and threw it to them :) thankfully no one has been eaten...yet ;) sunday's not normally my favorite day of ministry, since we normally lead the service, and don't get to participate in one. however, God's really been blessing us with wonderful congregations to lead in worship. last week was a great worship experience, and i'm discovering that sometimes small congregations are the ones that i take the most from. after our second church service we had coffee with the parishiners(?), and you could tell that they were so interesting in what we were doing, and our own well-being. they were one of the few congregations that asked how they could continue to pray for us. God just keeps surprising me! :)
