fun with children :)

ah those days spent with children...they bring a smile to your face :) naturally we were visiting schools again this morning; today we went to the village of beilrode, and gave a concert for a combination of an elementary school and middle school. the kindergartners and first graders were sitting up front, and i couldn't help but smile at them. they clapped along with almost every one of our songs, laughed, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. joy just poored out of my heart when i looked them. after the concert, katja and i went to a sixth grade class and talked to them for half an hour; they were awesome too...i love talking with fifth and sixth graders because they're just starting english, and they can't wait to practice on you. one girl told us a story about her crazy bird that flies into window; it made me feel so at home, being in a classroom, and talking with children. but, i think the highlight of my day came this evening. we did a small program for one of the village churches, and this little girl vanessa sat down by me right after we were done, and said, very carefully, "i...love...you..." it was absolutely adorable, and totally caught me off-guard. she then proceeded to go around and tell the rest of my teammates that she loved them too :) I love kids!!!
