neumünster--hello city life!
welcome to neumünster---there's stores here! i cannot tell you how happy i am to be staying in a place where i can actually go shopping, and use a visa card!! since we pulled into town early, we all took a shopping break; i went to karstadt (the german version of a department store), and promptly bought myself a new scarf. i think i can blow all the money i've been saving, here in neumünster. the last town/village we stayed in had no more than 100 people; it was very peaceful, and i walked on my first frozen lake, but it's kinda nice to see more people again. tonight we had pizza with our new host families; i played with the cutest boy, Aaron. he's a diabetic, from what i understand, and we had a fun time playing with his scale, seeing how much we could put on it until it broke :) then he ran around telling me he was a "schnell Monster", and how everyone else were monsters, too. needless to say, we had a wonderful time together; i think it's becoming more and more obvious that i'm going to be a teacher :) the fun thing is that tomorrow we have 45 total minutes of programming--hooray for neumünster!!
